Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity 2012 Habitat Follies 

Where:  Brunswick Community College Odell Williamson Auditorium

When:  Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m.

 This is a fun, lively, musical event comprised of local entertainers getting together for a good cause.  This years proceeds will help fund a Habitat home for a local family.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $7.50 for children under 12 (for group discounts call 910-454-0007).  Tickets can also be purchased from LOCKWOOD FOLLY RESIDENT

Note to POA --- Don’t Mess With an Insane Homeowner

In Daytona, Florida there is a single family home that has become a must see for tourists. It seems that the homeowner wanted to construct a deck on his house, but the deck violated the community’s POA covenants. The POA prohibited the homeowner from installing the deck. All of the details of the confrontation between the homeowner and the POA are not known, however, it safe to say that the homeowner was not happy with the decision. Unfortunately for the POA, their covenants did not regulate house color or yard appearance. The homeowner repainted his house in multiple bright graffiti colors, had tons and tons of sand hauled in and dumped in his yard and has collected a wide assortment of trashed items to serve as yard decorations.
